2009 APBA Watercraft Nationals Information

CHICAGO, ILL – I recently had a chance to catch up to the head of the PWC division of the APBA, Patrick Mell. Mell is in the process of making all of his final preparations for his 2009 Monster Energy Midwest Watercross Tour, which includes two APBA National Tour events which he co-promotes with long-time watercraft event promoter, Jacques Bryant. Mell has extended the invitation for the APBA Nationals to all riders hoping to include riders from distant regions or regions that do not have APBA regional events.

Additionally Mell also confirmed the following statement: “In light of Scott’s decision to drop out of the APBA that he (Patrick Mell) would allow the Wisconsin (region 4) racers to race for free at his regional races this season. So, if anyone wants to race for APBA highpoints, here’s a way for them to do so.” Specifically, we could enter the novice/amateur classes for free, but if you enter any of the pro-am classes that have a payout there will be an entree fee. This only goes for Region 6 events that are not tied to the Hammer Time promotions APBA National Tour Rounds.

If your not sure which association to support, roll like we do and support them both. After all, they both help to grow watercraft enthusiasm and promote watercraft racing events.
