EVENT INFO

What the Hell is the Snowball Party?

The Region 6 Snowball Party is a PWC community get together that has been set up to give PWC enthusiasts of all ages an opportunity to see all your fellow PWC racers and friends whom you probably haven’t seen all winter, meet potential new racers, and prospective sponsors in the off-season. The party provides a great opportunity to eat and drink too much, tell stories, dance, play games, and simply have a great time. Some festivities include videos, games, dancing and other off the wall fun stuff. Last year’s snowball party at the Lost Arrow was a HUGE success and a lot of fun. For those interested, this year’s party will be expanded to include a weekend filled with activities and fun.

Who is Invited?

Any person remotely associated to the sport of personal watercraft racing and recreational riding. Racers, rec-riders, freeriders, fans, family, holders, pit crew, friends, sponsors, and anyone else interested in having a good time in the name of personal watercraft racing and riding are invited. All regions are invited!

Where is the 2007 Snowball Party?

This year’s party will be held at the Lost Arrow Resort in Gladwin , Michigan . Yes – another great event in Michigan ! This is an incredible resort on the lake that has a host of things to do. The facility has a great hall for the party, large indoor pool with Jacuzzi, cottages and hotel rooms on site, bar and restaurant, 1200 acres of land for hunting and fun activities like hay rides. Hunters like Carson can even bring their guns and shoot clays at the range. There is a nice bonfire pit for the late night partiers – yes I said a bonfire, at midnight on site to wind down the night. This could possibly mean a snowball fight or something close to it, Deer are you in?!…It’s time to move on from the beer cans!! With the event right on the lake, people can bring up their sleds and quads to get out and ride on the lake or on the nearby trails before the party action starts on Saturday or on Sunday. There is an outlet mall 15 minutes away in West Branch for the ladies not interested in the fun stuff! More Info – www.lstarrow.com .

When is the Bash?

The 7th Annual Snowball Party will be held on February 16th-18th, 2007 at the Lost Arrow Resort in Gladwin , Michigan . The actual party to be held on Saturday February 17th. Feel free to make it a weekend event for you and the family or come for the day for the party – your schedule is up to you! Happy Hour will begin at 6:00 pm on Saturday with dinner planned for 7:00. See below for tentative schedule of events.

What does it cost?

The cost is this year going to be $30 per person if you pre-pay by February 1st and $35 at the door. This gets you a fabulous wedding style buffet dinner, a chance to win tons of door prizes, music and dancing, and an opportunity to participate in many fun games and activities. A minimum of the first 2 kegs will be supplied and we are currently working on additional keg sponsors to keep the free beer flowing all night. If enough people are interested we will book the hayride for Saturday from 4:00 pm – 5:00 pm. The cost will be $5 bucks per person.

What Should You Wear?

You can wear whatever your heart desires. Remember that you’ll probably have to change to go to the bonfire later especially for those of ladies that like to get all hoochified! Wetsuits and goggles optional.

Where do I Stay?

The best place to stay is right on site so no driving is necessary. Between the houses and hotel rooms most people will be able to stay at the resort. Houses are nice size and can sleep a lot of people. We have negotiated a special rate for Snowball Party guests so mention “Snowball Party” when making your reservation to get the discounted rate. We are sure all the rooms at the resort will go so book early – we booked them all last year. Hotel has nice indoor pool and Jacuzzi so bring the bathing suits. There are 2 other nice small hotels about 5 miles from the resort that we will get info on. Rates are below.

As of Saturday there were 4 hotel rooms and 2 cottages left so book now if you want a room at the lodge. There are 2 other nice motels 5 miles away once the Resort fills up.

Sponsorship

Like in previous years, we need our sponsors to step up to the plate, and donate prizes, swag or sponsor a keg of beer. This is a not-for-profit event and anything raised goes back into the party! Unfortunately this year we cannot do a full night of free beer however, we do have 2 sponsored kegs so far (The Resort and Patrick Mell have each sponsored one). A small cost for additional beer will be charged once these kegs are gone if this is your drink of preference…However if we can get some commitment out of a few people, promoters, previous sponsors then we can offer free beer all night! Please let Patrick know if you are willing to take part in sponsoring some way, some how! Every little bit is greatly appreciated.
