Burtka’s Highroller Customs Back Flip Ski 2

I know it has been a while since my last update on the Highroller Back flip hull, but rest assured I have been making progress. I have ordered most of the parts needed to get the ski into the water hopefully early this summer. My X Metalworks steering, trim system, scuppers & bars have already arrived. I just ordered my Skat-Trak prop and a round of misc. OEM parts from my friends at RIVA – all through my favorite shop Freestyle Factory.

Most recently I have added a Blowsion handle pole pivot bracket and a custom handle pole. You will notice an elevated yet flat surface in the picture below that I created for the handle pole bracket to squarely bolt to.

After much consideration, I decided that I wanted to put Dan Stein’s vision to the test and that this build would be completed with a stock stroke engine in the spirit of the design. I will share more about the engine soon.

I have also installed the mid shaft and motor mounts and tested the engine for alignment (Pictured Below). Yes the motor is forward do to the incorrect coupler on the template lower end. No worries – All fits well.

The pump shoe and an intake gate have both also been installed bottom side.
