Great Lakes Watercross Tour IJSBA gets off to a great start.

Last weekend at Lake Andrea, Pleasant Prairie Wisconsin the first round of the Great lakes Tour began. Though the winds off lake Michigan were a bit cool. They were easily offset by Hot racing and freestyle action. Which included a 1 minute run off in Pro Freestyle between Gary Burtka and Mike Hoffman. Races ran smoothly and the Sun came out in full force on Sunday for round two.

Along with the sun a nice crowd formed of spectators. Which were rewarded with the wild 1 minute run off between Burtka and Hoffman. When the spray settled Burtka sqeezed by Hoffman by half a point. The crowd loved it. The judges said it was almost too close to call and could have gone either way. Gary Burkta wanted to show that he supported racing as well as freestyle running his number 13 Freestyle factory vintage 650 Yamaha in Open Ski Vintage 650-550 class. Where he placed 1st all weekend Team Twangled riders were happy to jump in and hold for racers as well as our own team rider Gary’s boat.
