Hoffman Injury – Season Ending?

With just over a week until the annual Chicago Air and Water show and the Liquid X Big Air Nationals, Team Twangled Pro Freestyle rider “Magnum” Mike Hoffman suffers what looks to be a season ending injury. It was honestly of little surprise to me when I answered a call from Liquid X Freestyle’s Mike Niksic in regards to another Mike Hoffman injury. After all, it is Hoffman’s Go Big or Go Home personality that has made him one of the headline Twangled DVD series riders. We have literally seen him destroy his face while attempting barrel rolls and boat throws time and time again.

In this most recent trip to the emergency room, Hoffman explores the procedure of having the tip of the middle finger from his right hand reattached after having it get caught between the nose of his custom freestyle Kawasaki and the back of his truck. This is right, I said Kawasaki; the ski that once belonged to former freestyle World Champion Lloyd Burlew. Hoffman is very disappointed that the summer is ending like this. “I have been sitting around for three days bored” said Hoffman, unable to train or work. It is unclear yet the extent of this injury, or if this will overlap into Hoffman’s coveted snowmobile season. “It’s ust too early to tell anything” said Hoffman.
His local fans will be disappointed not to see the flames of his competition Yamaha Super Jet lighting up the sky during the water show, they will still be able to catch a glimpse and say hi; as Mike still plans to attend the Chicago Air and Water Show later this month as the LXF announcer, supporting his teammates bid for Big Air.
