Old school Kawasaki show us how far we have come.

Repairing a cutomer’s 300 Kawasaki reminded me of just how far we have come in our sport.

About a week ago one of my customers brought me his 300 Kawi to work on. I know you thought I just spoke Yamaha. The very first ski I ever owned was a 300 sx kawasaki. Single cylinder milled head prop plate all the goodies the early 80s could offer this one was even older. It was some ones race boat and now was about to hook another person on our awsome sport. This one had the works with that rare to find for a 300 after market pipe on it (Talk about loud). I fixed its exaust leak replaced the straight pipe with a Factorypipe waterbox I had laying around the shop fresshend up some gas lines and hoses and off he went to ride. I here every morning since ( its a good sound the sound of a jetskier having a blast). As I headed back to the shop I could not help but think about my own boat Carbon, ported, carbed basic freestyle boat. Just road Mike Hoffmans new 800+ motor. what a difference. After talking with Patrick Bogart from X-Metal I could not help but think that it was not long ago that we were impressed with the 550 mod and now we are talking 1200ccs its amazing. We have come so far I wounder what will be next.
