With the recent passing of “Team Twangled rider Greg Brock’s mother. He wanted to say thanx to his teammates for keeping me occupied on Mothers Day.
I am very sad to say that after battling Alzheimer’s Disease my mother Phyllis Brock Passed away on 4/22/07 in her home in Redondo Beach California. As hard as it was to say fairwell to the lady that taught me to be honest, strive, think freely, and always try to treat everyone fairly, the timing of her passing (“as fate would have it”)would be two weeks before Mom’s Day. Two weeks of being reminded of how much mom meant to me. As Sunday approached I was starting to panic I needed something to keep me busy so that I would not spend the day being sad (mom would not have liked that) Low and behold a call from Mike Hoffman ” I just finished tweaking on my superjet lets ride on Sunday. Mikes parents live out of state so his day was free. As I rolled out of my Chicago home I was still thinking alot about mom but as I turned the corner and pulled up to my home on Lake Marie there was Burtka’s car in the drive ( his parents also live out of state). I was happily suprised to see my good friend and Teammate. As soon as we began to prep the jetskies Mike Hoffman rolled up. The next thing I knew we were have a great time riding. Folks can be very accomodating laying up some awsome waves. Two tanks of gas later we were toast. Back to the house get cleaned up hang out and talk about the days ride the industry and all the things we love ( boats bikes babes ect…). As I started my car and got ready for my ride back into the city I stopped for a moment to think about the great day I had just had and the great friends that helped make it possible. I just wanted to say Thank you Mike and Gary you guys are the best. Though I still missed my mom, having such good and caring friends means all the world to me Thanx agin! Team Twangled Riders rock!
