The Badgerland Jet Pilots, an AWA Charter Club, will be hosting their third annual
Wisconsin Dells Freeride starting on May 29th
River Bay Camping Resort and Marina (http://dellsriverbay.com/). As in all previous
Wisconsin Dells Freerides, this is the weekend immediately following Memorial Day.
Last year?s Wisconsin Dells Freeride attracted about 140 riders over the 3-day span, and
this year?s event is already promising to be much bigger, with 200 riders expected to
attend the now 4-day event. Currently, we are anticipating attendees coming from about
10 states. Many excited club members and attendees started booking their cabins and
campsites as early as January of this year, and the internet pwc forums have been buzzing
with chatter from jet ski enthusiasts who can?t wait for summer and the (northern)
freeride season to hurry up and get here!
A few of last year?s bonuses have become standard features of the Wisconsin Dells
Freeride agenda for 2014. First, a meal plan is available again that allows attendees the
convenience of purchasing their meals from the campground?s waterfront restaurant for
one very reasonable price when they book their reservation. Second, there will be a 2-
hour Riverboat Cruise (for up to 150 people) at 6pm on Friday night. The Riverboat
Cruise will include hors d’oeuvres, Karaoke and a cash bar. What better way to end a day
of jet skiing on the beautiful upper Dells section of the Wisconsin River?
Just as in previous years, a charity raffle will be held with proceeds going to the
Central WI Community Action Food Pantry (http://www.dellsholidaytrain.com/
aboutfoodpantry.html), which serves thousands of families in the 5 counties surrounding
the Dells. A representative from the food pantry has been invited to draw the winning
tickets for the raffle. To see the list of generous vendors who have donated prizes for the
raffle, you may use the links listed below. Oh, and in case there aren?t already enough
reasons to attend the 2014 Wisconsin Dells Freeride, the fact that a nicely restored and
modified Yamaha Super Jet will be one of the Grand Prizes at the 2014 charity raffle
should certainly motivate any jet ski enthusiast. As it stands now, this will be the only
PWC event in the United States this year where some lucky person will get to win a
Super Jet!
