Backie Chan Debuts in 2015 Milwaukee Air and Water Show
Backie Chan Debuted in the Milwaukee Air and Water Show July 21-23. Team Twangled / Backie Chan Riders Gary Burtka, Kyle Burtka, Greg Brock and Jessica Wiebesiek entertained over 250,000 people over Saturday and Sunday according to Milwaukee officials.
Jessica returned to the water for the first time since breaking her leg this past Christmas in a snowboarding crash. She chose to shred her Kawasaki SXR race boat, while Kyle and Gary debuted their Chan’s. Greg showed off his flatwater skills aboard his Wammer Jet.
Despite calm waters and HOT sun, Lake Michigan was brutally cold on Saturday due to the wind direction. The fingers and toes were numb as the group issued a barrage of barrel rolls, back flips, 360s and fountains to thrill the early morning show goers.
By Sunday the warm water had returned and the sun remained. With near perfect conditions, the team picked up where they had left off on the previous day. Special thanks to the nice fireman that offered rescues all weekend!
