Helmet Cam Crash

Well just Thursday it was in the 60s here in Chicago, and Brock and I decided we needed to go adventuring on our freestyle machines. It was quite a ride. We began with a blast through the cattails and trees that surround the outgoing canals to Lake Marie. Through cattails and under trees, all of which is a no wake zone all summer. But not in the winter.

We blasted through all of the fun areas that we are unable to enjoy with the summer traffic, including the exploration of the tiny canal that surrounds our neighborhood. By tiny, I mean a 4-6 foot wide canal that is 2-3 foot deep at best. Ususally also a no wake zone, it was a maze of fun. I followed Brock through a few 90 degree turns, and through a 6 foot tall, 1/4 mile sewage pipe that goes under our street. I believe it was the first time I would have seen anything like this on a helmet cam! But we just couldn t get enough. Though the water was about 38, we still had to get wet. Barrel rolls and throws, it was no wonder that by the time we returned to shore, our waterproof system had failed, and the camera which once captured all of our moments from my head, was swimming in a sealed bag of water. Guess its time for a new helmet cam recorder, and a second take on that ride !
